I painted this as a companion piece to "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep", continuing the mountain from that painting into this one. This painting is strictly from my imagination or subconscious memories of places I have been and loved. When I am among the mountains, near the rivers, I feel such a feeling of serenity and tried, in this painting, to convey that. Palette comprised of these aritst quality paints manufactured by Golden, Liquitex, and Stephen Quiller, Cobalt Turquoise, Yellow Ochre, Quinacradone Gold, Dioxazine Purple, Cobalt Blue, Pthalo Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, gesso.
