When I first started painting in my early 30's, it felt like I had found my niche as it brought me continuous joy and challenge. With work and family, painting took a backseat for many, many years. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Lupus and that put a stop to my working.
One of the things that helped me adjust to the changes that Lupus wrought in my life, is painting. It is the one thing I can start and stop as needed. It never ceases to engage my mind, and creates a feeling of hope and renewal. When I see the sun rising over the mountain turning the Fall trees to gold and the dew sparkling like diamonds, it is a gift. One of many, that I try to recreate in painting. I hope you too will find joy in my painting when you view my art.
